Autumn and winter are two of the most popular seasons to get married. Cooler temperatures, warmer color palettes and long-sleeve gowns are just a few of the reasons couples love this time of year. Decor Trends
Black and jewel tones are very popular colors right now. Not only is black glamorous and edgy, but it pairs perfectly with any metallic. You’ll also see more uses of rich jewel tones in everything from invitations and florals to bridesmaid dresses.

One chic material that is here to stay: acrylic. A few places we can’t stop spotting this transparent material: reception chairs and tables, head tables, escort cards, menu cards and bars.

Bringing the outdoors in by incorporating greenery into your floral design is a trend we can’t get enough of. One of our favorite uses we’ve seen of foliage? Greenery and moss displayed under glass tables that were used for escort card displays and dinner tables.

With more and more couples opting to do a first look, a new trend has emerged of couples taking a majority of their portraits before the ceremony so they can enjoy more time with their guests during cocktail hour and the reception instead of missing out on time with family and friends.

The newest wedding must-have? Multiple types of live entertainment throughout your big day. Wow guests with a surprise choir performance after your first kiss as husband and wife, serenade guests as they enter dinner with a dozen violinists, have a live band perform your favorite songs throughout the evening and dance the night away at the after party with a lively DJ.

Overall Trends
We absolutely adore the tradition of paying tribute to your heritage on your special day and Breakers’ couples agree. Michelle and Collin’s wedding favor also doubled as an Italian Wedding Tradition. Each guest was presented with five sugared almonds to represent the five wishes of health, wealth, happiness, family and a long life together for the newlyweds.
