Thirsty Thursday: Flagler Punch
We’re throwing it back this Thursday — all the way back to the 1890s — to the era of The Breakers’ founder, Henry Morrison Flagler.
When Flagler launched the Palm Beach social scene, what did he serve his guests? Almost certainly, they drank punch. In honor of the Golden Age, the HMF bartending team has crafted a punch worthy of it’s namesake — meet the Flagler Punch.
The perfect special treat for a vintage-themed wedding, rehearsal dinner or bachelorette party, we just love this delicious concoction.
At HMF, the Flagler Punch is served in small vintage punch bowls, complete with ladles, perfect for parties of two or four. You’ll almost feel Henry looking over your shoulder as you take a sip…
What you’ll need:
- 2 oz Maker’s Mark Bourbon
- 1 Sprig Rosemary
- Equal Parts Pineapple Juice and Grapefruit Juice
- ¾ oz Local Honey
- ¾ oz Vanilla Simple Syrup
- 1 oz Grenadine
How to:
In a shaker, combine Maker’s Mark Bourbon, Rosemary, Honey and Vanilla Simple Syrup. Muddle, add ice and shake. Strain into Beer Pilsner over fresh ice. Add equal parts Pineapple Juice and Grapefruit Juice. Top with Club Soda and float with Grenadine. Garnish with Orange Cherry Flag and serve with a smile!
