Humane Society Celebrates at The Breakers with All-Vegan Menu
As gala season begins, our team is honored to host The Humane Society‘s second annual event, “To the Rescue! From Cruelty to Kindness Gala,” this Thursday in The Circle Ballroom.
This year’s gala benefits and celebrates the life-saving work of the organization’s “Stop Puppy Mills Campaign,” which is responsible for saving thousands of dogs and puppies.
Truly unique to this evening, guests will enjoy a special three-course gourmet vegan meal, designed by our Executive Chef Jeff Simms. While our menus have always included vegan and vegetarian options, this will be the first all-vegan menu served at a Breakers’ event.

Roberta Sabban, Food Editor at the Palm Beach Daily News took an inside look at the delicious menu – and even got her hands on Simms’ “secret” recipes. {Click here to read more and see the recipes.}
The evening will begin with a duo appetizer (pictured above) of Hearts of Palm Cake with Roasted Corn and Avocado Relish and a Baby Kale & Spinach Salad with Edamame, Strawberries and Marcona Almonds.
For the entrée, guests will enjoy a Vegetable Lasagna filled with Portobello, Spinach, Roasted Peppers, Squash and Cashew Ricotta, along with an Eggplant and Tomato Herb Tower.
