Hello, 2013: A Look Back at the Fantasy Ball

It’s already 2013 – but it’s never too late to enjoy a look back at a fabulous celebration…

Nearly 650 guests helped ring in 2013 at The Breakers New Year’s Eve Fantasy Ball…

The special black-tie event kicked off with a fabulous reception featuring a premium open bar, raw bar, sushi and caviar stations and an array of delicious hot and cold hors d’oeuvres.

The four-course gourmet dinner began with Jumbo Stone Crab Claws served on an individual ice carving, then onto a salad of Baby Greens with Port Wine Poached Pears and Brie Croutons. Guests enjoyed a main entrée of Dijonnaise Crusted Rack of Lamb, served with Winter Vegetable Pot Pie and Butternut and Carrot Puree. The surprise dessert, NYE “Red” Extravaganza, was a delicious spin-off of The Breakers Giant Martini Sundae.

 Now onto the fun! Guests enjoyed an evening full of incredible entertainment by Powerhouse and Zanadu. Specialty performances throughout the night included a woman eating fire, a two-woman aerial act, fire and Eskimo dancers and even a surprise visit by Gaga-esque Kat Solar and Gangam Style’s Psy! (Okay, they were impersonators… but they still rocked the house!)

Guests danced the night away with the Powerhouse Band, welcomed 2013 with a champagne toast at midnight and enjoyed a delicious breakfast buffet.
