The Breakers Goes Orange
In honor of National Hunger Action Month, The Breakers is lighting the Florentine Fountain orange every night this month!
We join Feeding South Florida, a member of Feeding America, and other partner hunger relief agencies to ask everyone in our community to take action against hunger.
Throughout Hunger Action Month, Feeding South Florida invites you to help end hunger through the “30 Ways in 30 Days” campaign. Whether it’s by advocating and raising awareness, making donations, or volunteering, you can find the way that’s right for you to make a difference during Hunger Action Month.
Feeding South Florida shares how you can get involved:
Hunger affects communities all across the country—rural, urban, and suburban. Right here in South Florida, 938,000 individuals struggle with hunger. How can you help? It’s easy. We’re asking you to simply Speak Out Against Hunger this September.
Why speak out? Because the nearly 49 million people in America who struggle with hunger often do so in silence. They live in our communities; they are our neighbors, our co-workers, and our friends, yet their struggles can go unheard. Throughout the campaign, Feeding South Florida will call on you to lend your voice.
Get involved by learning local hunger statistics, volunteering and participating in one or more of Feeding South Florida’s 30 Ways in 30 Days calendar, to find daily ways to make a difference.
By simply lending your voice during Hunger Action Month, you can make a tangible contribution to mobilizing the public in the fight to end hunger in South Florida.
Go Orange this September in support of Hunger Action Month!
