Breakers Named Top Luxury Hotel by Fodor’s
The infamous Fodor’s 100 Hotel Awards is out, and The Breakers is honored to be a part of the Grande Dame luxury list!
The Grande Dame includes 12 world’s 12 most iconic hotels legendary properties around the globe, chosen for their continued commitment to “superlative history and service.”
From Fodor’s on making the list: “Our short list of the world’s 12 most iconic hotels gives consideration to a property’s rich history (and celebrity tales) along with its recent performance. We gave extra points for superlative service, timeless style, and pampering amenities.”

Fodor’s on The Breakers as a “Palm Beach Powerhouse”
“It’s almost impossible to discuss the East Coast equivalent of Beverly Hills—Palm Beach—without The Breakers making its way into the conversation. Rich in Gilded Age opulence, the landmark 115-year-old property built by oil magnate Henry Flagler has been a pillar of the Palm Beach social scene since its late-19th-century construction ushered in the birth of Florida tourism. And, thanks to a series of well-executed nips and tucks, this tony enclave shows no signs of relinquishing her crown as queen of the scene anytime soon. Sprawling over 140 oceanfront acres on ‘Billionaire’s Row,’ the stately resort exudes decadence at every turn; from its grand palm-tree lined entrance to refined oceanfront dining room, and 540 elegant rooms and suites, The Breakers cossets guests in the Palm Beach mystique.”
Along with The Breakers, the coveted list includes The Baur au Lac in Switzerland, La Mamounia in Morocco and The Savoy in England. See all 12 on the Grande Dame list.
Special thanks to Fodor’s for such an exciting honor!
