Working on your wedding registry, but not quite sure where to start when it comes to glassware? Don’t fret, our Master Sommelier Virginia Philip is here to help.

Her expert tip: “When registering for your glassware, keep in mind who your guests are and also when and why you may use specific glassware.”

Wedding Registry: Glassware

Which brand is best for you? Here are Virginia’s favorite three brands and how to use each glass style…

1. Riedel – The true wine connoisseur’s glass, Riedel is a must for couples who appreciate a great glass of wine. The shape of the glass helps to enhance the taste profile and the clear glass allows for a perfect view of the wine’s color nuances.

2. Tiffany – Simple yet oh-so elegant, Tiffany glasses can be used for everyday drinking and special celebrations. While the shape is not designed for specific use, the glass is best for red versus white wines.

3. Waterford – For the truly elegant dinner table, these crystal glasses are a must. Perfect for the holidays and impressionable to guests, this is your special occasion glassware collection.

Our team is always looking for a fun twist on the honored tradition of “something blue.”

When a recent bride and groom asked for a blue signature cocktail, we turned to Banquet Beverage Manager John Kao who created a delicious cocktail that’s a colorful take on the classic French 75. Meet the Blue 75…

Blue 75 Cocktail at The Breakers - Sip Your 'Something Blue'

Whip up the “Blue 75” at home…

How To:

Growing up visiting her grandparents in South Florida, Ani always loved The Breakers, saying it has always been “the most beautiful, magical place on earth.” When she and Andrew decided on a destination wedding in paradise, she knew just the place.

“I never thought that one day I would marry the most amazing man on The Breakers’ Ocean Lawn at sunset,” Ani shares. “It’s the stuff that dreams are made of… providing the full resort destination experience we wanted for our family and friends and The Breakers attention to detail and quality never left us questioning if we made the right decision.”

“When I think back to that day, there are two real magical moments I won’t forget,” Ani shares. “The first is seeing the Ocean Lawn as my dad and I walked down aisle… the second, was the private viewing of our reception area and having those quiet, untouched moments of beauty and intimacy all to ourselves.”
