Romantic Roses: When sending a floral arrangement, why limit yourself to sending a vase of red roses?

Aime Dunstan - Design Studio at The BreakersAime Dunstan, Design Studio Sales Manager

“Sending flowers to a loved one is more than an opportunity to brighten their Valentine’s Day with a fresh bouquet, it’s a demonstration of thoughtfulness and admiration that leaves a lasting impression. The flowers you choose should be a reflection of your relationship, highlighting the personality or preferences of the recipient or perhaps recalling a special memory you share together. When in doubt, get creative!”

Aime’s inspiration: “This sunny and textural mix of peach Campanella roses, dusty pink Romantic Antik garden roses, blush O’Hara garden roses, pink spay roses, succulents, pincushion protea, peach Hypericum berry and hot pink Goloriosa lilies.”

Dinner Dreams: If you’re staying in, how do you make your meal for two feel more romantic?

Chloe Doerge - Design Studio at The BreakersChloe DoergeDesign Studio Sales Manager

“When setting the mood for a romantic evening, you don’t have to go overboard with red and pink! Use lighting and candles to create an ambiance that will evoke feelings of intimacy and give a romantic look to the room.”

Chloe’s inspiration: “Set up a table for two with heavy candlelight and white petals for a simple and romantic table setting.”

Treat Yourself: You can never have too many tulips or roses in a vase…

Claire Ryan - Design Studio at The BreakersClaire RyanDesign Studio Sales Manager

“Valentine’s Day is the one day of the year it is perfectly acceptable to go a little over the top… and show yourself some love! Make a gorgeous arrangement out of the flowers you can find at your local supermarket. Look for pink or lavender shades of the following blooms: lilies, tulips, roses and mix in soft greens such as eucalyptus, kale and waxflower. Too complicated? Buy a few bunches of the same type of flower and keep it simple.”

Claire’s inspiration: “Once you get the flowers home, remember to water immediately, cut the ends and arrange in a vase you love. While we are on the subject of roses—don’t forget to throw a bottle of Rosé into your cart, you’ve earned it.”
