Growing up in Palm Beach County, Kristina visited The Breakers for special occasions and dreamed of being a Breakers Bride. When she and fiance Seth decided they wanted a destination wedding with scenic ocean views, the picturesque hotel was the only choice for their dream-come-true day.

Real Wedding: Kristina & Seth at The Breakers

“The Breakers delivered an aesthetically pleasing and historic destination meeting our needs but most importantly, their service is top of the line,” Kristina shares. “We couldn’t have been happier with our decision—the wedding day was so smooth thanks to their amazing team of professionals! They even had our favorite drinks waiting for us immediately after the ceremony.”

On her favorite memories, Kristina shares: “The first was when Seth and I shared a private moment together reading our vows … it was emotional in the best way and the perfect time for us to remember that the day was all about celebrating our love.”

“The other moment, was when I walked down the aisle,” Kristina recalls. “The doors opened and I saw Seth waiting for me at the alter, surrounded by all of our teary-eyed family and friends… talk about powerful. I will never forget that feeling!”

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, we know flowers are on your mind.

For nearly twenty years, our in-house Design Studio has been known for creating truly stunning event designs for clients from all over the globe. Each arrangement is made with loving care – and today, we’re sharing the love… and our Valentine’s Day tips!

Romantic Roses: When sending a floral arrangement, why limit yourself to sending a vase of red roses?

Aime Dunstan - Design Studio at The BreakersAime Dunstan, Design Studio Sales Manager

“Sending flowers to a loved one is more than an opportunity to brighten their Valentine’s Day with a fresh bouquet, it’s a demonstration of thoughtfulness and admiration that leaves a lasting impression. The flowers you choose should be a reflection of your relationship, highlighting the personality or preferences of the recipient or perhaps recalling a special memory you share together. When in doubt, get creative!”

Aime’s inspiration: “This sunny and textural mix of peach Campanella roses, dusty pink Romantic Antik garden roses, blush O’Hara garden roses, pink spay roses, succulents, pincushion protea, peach Hypericum berry and hot pink Goloriosa lilies.”

Dinner Dreams: If you’re staying in, how do you make your meal for two feel more romantic?

Chloe Doerge - Design Studio at The BreakersChloe DoergeDesign Studio Sales Manager

“When setting the mood for a romantic evening, you don’t have to go overboard with red and pink! Use lighting and candles to create an ambiance that will evoke feelings of intimacy and give a romantic look to the room.”

Chloe’s inspiration: “Set up a table for two with heavy candlelight and white petals for a simple and romantic table setting.”

Treat Yourself: You can never have too many tulips or roses in a vase…

Claire Ryan - Design Studio at The BreakersClaire RyanDesign Studio Sales Manager

“Valentine’s Day is the one day of the year it is perfectly acceptable to go a little over the top… and show yourself some love! Make a gorgeous arrangement out of the flowers you can find at your local supermarket. Look for pink or lavender shades of the following blooms: lilies, tulips, roses and mix in soft greens such as eucalyptus, kale and waxflower. Too complicated? Buy a few bunches of the same type of flower and keep it simple.”

Claire’s inspiration: “Once you get the flowers home, remember to water immediately, cut the ends and arrange in a vase you love. While we are on the subject of roses—don’t forget to throw a bottle of Rosé into your cart, you’ve earned it.”
