The Breakers recently partnered with Miami photographer Manolo Doreste to serve as the gorgeous backdrop for a photo spread in Grace Ormonde Wedding Style. Our team was tasked with creating two stunning red bouquets, sure to inspire and delight…

Red Hot Bouquet Inspiration

Design Studio Sales Manager Robert Peczka Jr. designed the bouquets, explaining that for him they are much more than just a grouping of beautiful flowers.

“Forever a lover of fashion, I drew on my design philosophy to always create bouquets that are more of an accessory to a bridal gown,” says Robert. “The idea is that one is carrying the perfect evening bag.”

The first, above, is a hand-tied round bouquet of “Freedom” red roses and Dutch red Ranunculus delicately enclosed in red Russian milliners veiling. With a boutonniere to match, below, of course!

Inspired by an exotic feather dealer Robert once met in New York City, the second bouquet is a cascade of hand-wired red amaryllis blooms and 36-inch-long red pheasant feathers.

The PANTONE Color Report for Spring 2016 is out and as New York Fashion Week wraps this Thursday, we’re excited to share some new color inspiration…

PANTONE Fashion Color Report Spring 2016

According to the report, the new Spring color palette is “influenced by the world of art, new global doors opening and the desire to disconnect from technology and unwind, designers this season have gravitated toward a palette that is first and foremost calming.” The colors pay homage to the beauty of natural resources and “serve as vehicles that transport wearers to more tranquil, mindful environs which encourage relaxation first, followed by curiosity and exploration.”

Meet the colors: (from left) Rose Quartz, Peach Echo, Serenity, Snorkel Blue,
Buttercup, Limpet Shell, Lilac Gray, Fiesta, Iced Coffee and Green Flash.

Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. explains “Colors this season transport us to a happier, sunnier place where we feel free to express a wittier version of our real selves. With our culture still surrounded by so much uncertainty, we are continuing to yearn for those softer shades that offer a sense of calm and relaxation.”
