With summer just around the corner, we had to share one of the fresh and scrumptious salad creations coming out of The Breakers’ kitchen…

Heirloom Tomato Salad

Crafted with local, farm-raised Heirloom tomatoes, fresh veggies from The Breakers Herb Garden and a touch of aged 50-year-old aged Balsamic Vinaigrette; this salad is as good for you as it is delicious.

Behind the dish…

The Breakers’ chefs  shared some of the ingredients in his secret recipe:

  • Local Heirloom Tomatoes, sliced and seasoned with sea salt
  • Jubilee Tomatoes, or red and yellow cherry tomatoes if jubilee’s are not available, tossed with olive oil and chopped herbs
  • Thinly sliced English Cucumber, shaved Cherry radish and Pea tendrils
  • Pickled breakfast radish — pickled with red wine vinegar, peppercorns, orange zest, and local cane sugar
  • Micro Celery, Micro Cilantro and Basil Stem with Bloom from The Breakers Herb Garden

Growing up, Ben spent every Easter in Palm Beach celebrating with his family. When they began dating, Mandana joined the family tradition and after one visit to The Breakers, she was hooked.

Once engaged, Mandana says it was their only choice for a fairytale destination wedding in paradise.

Real Wedding: Mandana & Ben

“We have both traveled around the world and can honestly say that The Breakers Hotel is unparalleled in terms of service, beautiful grounds and accommodations,” Mandana says. “It had everything we wanted for a destination wedding — beautiful beaches, pools, golf, restaurants and all in one resort. We couldn’t think of a better location to bring both our families together.”

“Our First Look was one of my favorite memories,” the bride says. “It was such an intensely emotional moment for the both of us. The whole day is filled with so much love, but the First Look really felt like it was our special moment that we shared together privately.”

“One of our favorite memories is of my tiniest flower girls Coco,” Mandana says, “At the 11th hour, we decided to let her use her micro-scooter down the aisle – something none of us had rehearsed. When the doors opened, all I could hear was the applause and laughter that she had scooted all the way down. We were all thrilled.”
